Summer Bucket List 2011

If you are anything like me, summer goes way to fast and I feel like we didn't get to see everything we wanted to see and we didn't get a chance to do everything we wanted to do.

I wanted to change that this year and create a summer bucket list! It has fun things to do, places to go and some silly/simple things to do as well.

We have everything on our list from going to a baseball game to the cleveland botanical gardens to catching lightning bugs and everything in between! It is going to be a fun summer and I can't wait to start checking things off our list!

Trying something new...

It's called Wordless Wednesday. I follow many blogs and many of them have Wordless Wednesdays where they post only a picture. It can be something that inspires you, a cool picture you took, or a family picture. Thought it would be fun so I am going to be starting my own Wordless Wednesdays here on  my blog! Hope you enjoy!

Tball 2011

I can't believe Andrew's t-ball season is over already. We had so much fun at his games! I am actually a little sad we are are finished, it has been a great season.

Andrew's team was the Berlin Twp. Conservation club. He had a great coach, parents were great and all of the boys and girls really enjoyed playing t-ball. You could really see all of the kids progress and get better as the season went on. Enjoy some of our favorite pictures from the season!

Down and ready!

Andrew and Coach Dave were goofing around with each other here!

Andrew was playing a game with Coach Dave as he ran into home!

Two of Andrew's buddies from the team! Waylan (left) and Parker (right)!

Final team huddle!

What a great team this year! So proud of you Andrew!

Garden Update #3

I have veggies! I am so excited with how successful I am with my first garden. And the best part, Andrew and I are eating more vegetables! He loves going out to the garden with me to see how everything is growing and while we are out there he will ask, "Mom, can I eat some of the spinach?". Absolutely buddy, have as much spinach as you want! I love it! All of the vegetables I have planted are all up and almost ready to eat except for my better boy tomatoes. Nothing on those plants yet. Although, I am sure they will be up soon enough and will have more than I need. We have 8 tomato plants (4 roma, 4 better boy), anyone want some when they come in?!

Cucumber

Sugar Snap Peas! Can't even tell you how excited we are about these little guys! Yummy!

Roma's

Teeny, tiny pepper coming!

Safety Town

Does everyone remember Safety Town growing up?  I remember the mini city they built and we could ride our tricycles around the town, learn about crossing the street and about city safety. So when I heard Andrew was ready for Safety Town I was really excited for him! Safety Town has grown since I was little, because Andrew didn't get to have the the city and the tricycles.  But what he did get to do was really cool. He learned about fire and city safety, got to meet a real firefighter and a real police man, got to sit in a police car, ambulance, fire truck and even got to spray the hose! But, his favorite part of all was riding a BUS! The whole class was able to take a bus ride to see a ambulance and see an emergency helicopter take off. Highlight of his week for sure! Here are some pictures from his Safety Town graduation.

This was one of Andrew's preschool teachers, Ms. K. She was his favorite teacher at school, and it was VERY exciting that she was apart of Safety Town week! She is giving him his certificate here.

Getting his Police badge from the police man.

I was a proud Mom! My Safety Town graduate!

Couple of his buddies! Parker, on the left, is on his t ball team as well!

Mohican 2011

Nothing is better than taking a few days out of the busy week to go camping!  I love relaxing and just getting away from the hustle of everything going on at home and get away from computers, phones and just enjoy time as a family! We enjoyed adventure hikes, went to see the gorge over look, covered bridge, dam and fire tower, had lots of smores and played a lot of baseball. It was pretty near perfect if you ask me! Andrew had so much fun we may have to do another trip in the fall.

Our neighbors at the camp ground had some visitors. Andrew thought is was very cool to toss marshmallows to the raccoon to eat.
